Mulled Sloe Gin

Category: The Grapevine
Sloe gin is a seasonal favourite of ours at Bel & The Dragon. Making it yourself is a slow process but thankfully our partners & friends at Sipsmith have this covered. Their splendid recipe uses hand-picked sloes and their award-winning gin as the base. Furthermore,  it makes a very pleasing winter warming cocktail and a refreshing change from the traditional whisky & wine varieties…

This festive season, you can savour many a tempting tipple at Bel & The Dragon. However, we recommend you try our Mulled Sloe Gin which is made with hot mulled apple juice, heaps of spices and infused with Sipsmith Sloe Gin. It is our take on a Sipsmith Distillery favourite and a true winter warmer.

Sip and snuggle down by the fire at Bel & The Dragon or try the recipe for yourself at home. Trust us, it is gin-sperational…

Serves Four

  • 100ml Sipsmith Sloe Gin
  • 200ml Water
  • 1 litre Cloudy Apple Juice
  • Mulling Spices (Cinnamon, Cloves, Star Anise & Fresh Orange)
Method Place a cinnamon stick, 6 cloves, 2 star anise & 2 wedges of orange in a muslin bag. Pour the apple juice and water into a saucepan and add the mulling spices.
