During this operatic extravaganza you will meet some of opera’s most famous characters including Carmen (the Popular One), Mimi (the Good Girl), Escamillo (the Alpha Male) and Rodolfo (the Complicated One) reinvented as characters including a beautician who started an Etsy shop during lockdown and a mixed martial arts YouTube star, as they navigate their way through the pitfalls of their lives and relationships in a quest to change themselves to find true love, enjoying along the way, the simple things in life including good wine and company – and what better place to do it than a pub garden!

This outdoor performance, set in the convivial location of The Red Lion, throws off the formalities of the traditional opera setting and immerses the audience in an informal and completely unique experience. With the audience close enough to the performers to feel the vibration of every note and within arm’s reach of the bar, there is no better way to while away a summer evening.
